Barry Harding asks that we send him details of our fundraising. barryharding at att dot net
You have received this email because you registered (and most of you rode) for the 2004 MS150 that was held last month. In total, there were 57 registered riders from Bryan College Station, with 18 from Bryan and 39 from C.S.
I would like to assemble as many as riders as possible for a photograph shoot for possible use in the Eagle and also on the Brazos Valley Cyclists website. I would like to schedule the photo shoot for Saturday morning May 29th at 8:00 am near the A&M Consolidated High School baseball stadium (just off Welch Street.) With as many of us as there is, having the photographer standing at an elevated position is desired.
Please come ready to ride with your bike, helmet, sunglasses, etc., etc. for the photo. If you had a pedal partner, bring your orange bandana to tie to your bike.
We'll split ride up to the Flagpole on A&Ms campus afterwards to join the Saturday Flagpole ride (45-60 miles). Of course all of this will be determined by the weather that morning.
The Eagle has not yet officially said that they would run the photo or a story, but I thought that we could write up a story with the no. of BCS riders, age range of the riders, no. of years of that various riders have ridden the MS150, and the total amount of money raised by BCS riders towards the overall total for MS. This will be good publicity for cycling and MS in general in Bryan College Station.
This information is also going to be posted on the Brazos Valley Cyclist website http://www.brazoscyclists.org as a reminder to all.
If you definitely cannot make it to this photo opportunity, please reply by email to: barryharding at att dot net.
Remember that you have until May 18th to turn in remaining donations to MS, so continue to remind your friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc. of your accomplishment in riding the MS150 and attempt to secure any last minute donations to MS. It will definitely help MS try and obtain the $10.0 million dollar goal and might help you get to a level to gain a fund raising award from MS. The watches, & workout bags are really neat, and the bike shop gift certificates also help out to buy new gear.
Thanks in advance,
Barry Harding
